I was young during the 1960 season and I had never gotten into football much. Back then, football coverage on TV wasn’t too good. The Eagles played a 12-game schedule and only the away games were broadcast. Unless you went to a home game yourself, you didn’t get the chance to see much of the Eagles. Anyway, on the day after Christmas in 1960 – the day the Eagles and Packers played for the NFL championship – I was visiting my grandfather’s house.
